I'm back finally!!!

I just came back from yet another series of my company Team Building session at Genting View Resort, Genting. It was really tiring and had very little sleep. All because it was part of the program, which is 'Breaking The Barrier', this program really pushes us to the limit!

Multiple projects, presentation, performance, you name it, all cramp into a 2 and a half day duration. All in all it was a great experience, will share more details later. Now, i am off to bed. It's another long day at work tomorrow!!!!

I surprise myself sometimes

It's a boring day and suddenly i have the urge to unleash that inner chef talent that i have in me. So, i have decided to cook chili beans for dinner served with salad (i'm trying to be healthy here). Went to Giant and get all the ingredients that i need to prepare my chili beans, with the help of my mom (she just won't leave me alone with the cooking, she just have to add in some stuff without me seeing it).

Firstly, diced a whole big onion, a clove of garlic, 1 red paprika, some straw mushrooms (it's optional, but i just love mushrooms) and a few strips of sliced bacon. Toss the bacon into the pan with some olive oil, stir till the bacon turns brown. Next, put in the onion and wait till it turned brown and finally toss in the garlic and in a little bit, throw in the mince beef (it really depends how much meat you want).

Chopped big onions

Slice the Bacon

Minced beef

Red and Yellow Paprikas

Kidney Beans

Chick Peas

Bacon and a generous amount of olive oil

Oh, at the same time you want to boil some water and toss a few tomatoes in to make you own tomato puree. After a few mins, peel off the skin and sliced it. It is super hot, so you would want to do this with running cold water so you won't burn your fingers.

Peel off the skin

Slice it!

After the minced beef is cooked, put in 3 table spoons of chili powder(i like it spicy, you can add on or decrease the amount of chili to your liking).

Minced beef cook and add in the chili powder.

Mixed it well and you can see the meat turns red, add in the paprika and the straw mushrooms. After that, then you can add in the sliced tomatoes and also a can of whole peeled tomatoes that you can get it off the shelf from hypermarket. It's a little sweeter than the ones we boiled ourselves it also have some puree with it so your chili beans won't be too dry.

Canned whole peeled tomatoes

Lastly, put in the chick peas and kidney beans with the rest. Add some chicken stock and shimmer it for half an hour on low fire.

Add in the chick peas and kidney beans

Voila! You have your Chili beans cook to perfection. You can eat it just like that or dipped with french toast if you want. Yummy!!!

It really taste so good.
Muahaha!! I have release the inner chef in me! Not bad eh..my chili beans was a success!!

UOB Bank really sucks!!

OK, this time i am really pissed off!! I am sick of calling customer service every time my statement arrives. They just love to simply charge LATE PAYMENT CHARGES. Please be aware and check your statements every month and make sure that you are paying what you suppose to pay!

Please do not blindly pay whatever that is outstanding. My dad makes this mistake that he never checks. I have this habit of checking each and every transaction that i make with my card. And i always see there is some unnecessary charges debitted to me. I am really sick of UOB right now. I will definitely cancel my card with them after i receive another credit card from another bank. I'm really through with UOB!

Enough said! i don't want to dwell further on what really happen that i called up customer service and give them a piece of my mind. They reluctantly reverse the late payment charges and finance charges for me. This is not the first time i tell you!! This is not the first time! I'll make sure that it is reflected on my next statement and after that i will cancel my credit card!

You suck UOB, you really SUCK!!!

My Mother's Day Celebration

On Mother's Day, my entire family went out for dinner. My Mom really wanted to eat Japanese food, but the queue was so long at Jusco Bukit Tinggi (plus my dad has not much patience and after like waiting for 15 mins he got very angry, can hear it from his tone of voice and facial expression) We quickly change restaurant and ended up in Windmill where there was no queue.

We got a place immediately and ordered the Mother's Day Special. It's a full course meal, a shrimp cocktail and Crab and Sharkfins soup for appetizer, 3 choices of main course - grilled salmon, whole spring chicken with mushroom sauce and Beef and lamb with barbeque sauce, Ice cream and fruit cake for dessert and a chococino for drink. Not too bad eh, only RM 59.90 per course and it comes with a free gift. So, we ordered all 3 meals and share among the 5 of us.

PC Fair - Powtech Marketing SUCKS!

I have been thinking on whether should i publish this post or not. Now i decided not to contemplate anymore and go ahead with this post. I want everyone to know what kind of treatment i am getting from this company and i wish to share with everyone out there. It is no excuse the way you treat a customer.

I was at the PC Fair last month to look for an external hard disk and also a scanner, as you know there is a lot of booths to scout through and bargain for the best and most reasonable price before you do any purchase. I mean, who doesn't do that, you want to make sure that what you buy is value for money and the most cheapest yet most reasonable price you can get.

After quering from a few booth, i stop by this company name POWTECH MARKETING and i saw this guy available and went over to ask him the price of the external hard disk available. He look very unpleasant but i was there to get the infomation i need and the price is too high compared to the other booths that i had visited. So, i said thank you and left.

To my surprise, he threw me a remark that i glad i just walk away and pretending not hearing. If he said to my face, ohh i am going to bring hell. Instead, i took a few pictures of the guy with the company name and post it here. Everyone out there before they go to the next PC Fair, make sure NOT TO BUY ANYTHING from this company! Remember POWTECH MARKETING! Please avoid visiting this comapny if you encounter them again.

This guy have the nerve to say 'These kind of people, they just come and ask and will not buy. They are just a waste of time, a waste of my time' (He said it in mandarin) Doris heard it and she point at me screaming 'Did you hear what he say??!!' i coolly told her, just walk away, no point arguing with this kind of person as there are so many booths here. If he can't respect other customer, no one will buy from them eventually.

All i am saying is, we have the right to enquire and that doesn't mean we HAVE to buy the item. EVERYONE at the Fair will definitely ask around to get the bargain they can find, that is what i was doing. Yes, it is packed with people and it is definitely a long day for them. Well, it is a long day for me too. I was exhausted by the end of the day, pushing through the crowds. But it is no excuse for saying things like that to any potential customer. So, i have decided to boycott this company FOREVER! Everyone that read this! Please be aware!!

You can be rude, i can be very unethical too! :P~

My Short Visit To Kuantan!

On labour's day i took a holiday with both my parents and Baby Joey to Kuantan to visit my auntie there. It's been a while since i last remember going to Kuantan. If i am not mistaken, it has been like 10 years since i last went to Kuantan. It has definitely changed a lot.

We took a slow drive down to Kuantan, we left Klang about 12pm, and decided to stopover at Karak for lunch. There's this place my dad wanted to take us for porridge, not just any porridege, but Frog porridge. So eager to try, unfortunately, luck was not on our side. That particular shop is not open yet. so, we opt for something else and head on to Kuantan. We finally arrive at 4pm.

We rest for a while after the long drive, then we went out for a quick dinner. After that, we went over to the famous Telok Cempedak beach. Just want to take a look how the beach there looks like at night. Definitely crowded, many people bringing their whole family for an evening walk by the beach. I mean there is not much entertainment around there, i guess the beach is their best getaway at Beserah, Kuantan.

:) Joey screaming at me not to take her picture (This is the only time she refuse to have her picture taken)

The next day, we went to the mini zoo. Entrance fee is free, so we thought of taking Joey to see some animals. We understand there would be monkeys running around freely. I was really scared of the monkeys after my experience at Bali. Joey was kind of excited. Not with the animals, but the playground! Kids! She cried when we force her to leave the mini zoo.

Dad and Joey with their sunnies on (They really make a good team)

To calm her down, we went to the telok Cempedak beach again. The sight there in the day is fantastic. It is what we would imagine a white sandy beach would look like. People are learning to wind surf and playing beach volleyballs. Can't help myself to take more pictures. The Giant rocks at the edge of the long strip of white sand really looks magnificent. wish i could go nearer and take some pictures, but we were in a hurry.

We head straight to the market place and got some 'kau sai' literally translate as 'Dog Poo'. A Malay delicacy which is known as the 'Keropok Lekok'. Can't miss that when you go to Pahang or Terengganu.

The highlight of this trip is definitely about our little baby Joey, she just loves the camera and camwhoring. Isn't she cute :)
