Just Crapping

Just love road trips, love exploring, seeing new things, trying new things. I always think that travelling overseas will give me the fulfillment that it is really travelling. Hey, travelling locally can be fun too.

There's so many places in Malaysia that i have never been before. The Redang Island especially, really would love to go there one day. Visit the whole Malaysia, but after this petrol price hike, i really have to consider and plan my trip well. Don't wat to waste money on petrol. No more randomness and spontaneous drive to wherever i want.

Last weekend i did it again, with both my parents, we took a drive down to Cameron Highlands and stayed the night, can't remember the last time i was there. The next morning we head straight down to Penang, where my dad had an appointment with his customer. Our last stop was at Danouk Thailand.

Yes, i know, my dad love to go to the border, cheap food, cheap hotels, cheap massage, cheap liqour, cheap cashews, cheap everything. I have to tag along because i'm worried about ym dad driving long distance. He is not that young anymore, and my mom can't drive. If i tag along then at least we can take turns driving.

This year, i am not going overseas for travelling. I did made a promise to myself that i will go for a long trip overseas. At least once in every year, that is what i told myself la. But this year, i will forgo my promise for this one time. I want to save more money so that i can have enough to travel to Australia next year. Hopefully Air Asia is still giving away free tickets even the petrol price has increase.

So, i am going to settle for local trip this year. What about a cruise? I have been thinking of that, saw on the papaers last month that there's this cruise that will make several stops at a few interesting places that i have never been before. It's a 5 night cruise, nice right? The stops are Penang, Langkawi, Phuket and Krabi. It is organize that we have a day time to travel around both the island. Hey, a day is more than enough for me, there's nothing much you can on the beach. Except relaxing and sun-tanning.

Worst come to worst. I'll take another trip down to Malacca and visit Doris lo...Penang perhaps, to visit my cousin. Hmm...Aiya..to Genting also enough already. OK, will stop crapping now. Will post my road trip to the Thai border soon.

This is Friggin' RIDICULOUS!!!!!!

Today has been the worst day of my life! I can't even describe the feeling that i am feeling right now, i can't explain the the thoughts that are going through my mind at this very moment. I am blank, i am frustrated, i am really pissed!

My colleague received a call from his wife telling him that she heard that the petrol price will increase at midnight today..means NOW!!! Initially i thought it would be the max of 0.40 cents per litre increase as i had heard rumours about it too. I was actually emotionally and mentally prepare for this news, it's just the matter of time. But NO!! It went straight up to 0.78 cents which make up a total of RM 2.70 per litre now. Freakin' RM 2.70 from the normal RM 1.92 per litre!!!!!

It's like the whole world had stopped for a moment. All my colleagues stopped working because it was so shocking. It is too much for us to bear, everyone was sighing, moaning...It was the worst day of everybody life's'!!

I have decided, no more going out for lunch because the money allocated for lunch now is used for my petrol due to the price increase. Thanks to the government! Everything in this world increases but my salary never increases! The toll increase, rice, flour, sugar..i think in future we have to pay for the air that we breath!

It is ridiculous!!!!!

I need a raise i tell you!!! i need a raise this instance!!!!!

No more free seats from AirAsia lo, Or MAS lo since the petrol fuel increase. OK, now i have to cycle to work!

Team Building Batch 4 -The Sequel

Finally i get to squeeze some time to update on my so-called 'company trip' to Genting View Resort'!! Our team buildings are never ever relaxing, after working for more than 10 hours at work, they still put our brains plus body to work. I only get to sleep like 4 to 5 hours during my 2 and a half days there, i tell you..i even have to skip breakfast because i rather sleep than to wake up an hour earlier to have breakfast...seriously.

I manage to take a few pictures of the room, not too bad, better condition than the 1st 2 team building places that we have been. Our first team building was at Lembah Azwen Resort at Hulu Langat (worst place i have been to) The 2nd one was not bad, it was held at D'Ark, Janda Baik, Pahang. The place was quite cooling and we got to share a room with 4 other people (the toilet is really scary, i was so afraid to bath alone. Dare not even to go pee during midnight leh, i tahan until next morning when everyone is awake...i tell you!!!)

This time, the 3rd time was the best so far. But, there is always a catch. The first 2 times is mostly classrooms activities and only a few outdoor activities. We got to get enough sleep at a very bad condition and uncomfortable beds. This time!!! We have comfy beds and TV and everything to enjoy, but we can't find time to enjoy it because we are loaded with projects and presentations that we have to crack our heads the whole night before we can even get to sleep!! Damn Scope!! Damn my company!!! (I really hope none of my superior is reading this :P~)

Anyway, here are the pictures taken before being pulverized by me and my team members.

The beds for me and Kak Wes!

Clean toilet!

The Balcony

The Hall

Our neighbours

The scenery from outside the balcony is fantastic, anyhow, it is not as cold as i have expected it to be. It was raining most of the time but still no cool breeze, kinda disappointed with that, really don't even need a jacket or long sleeves.

We reached Genting View Resort at 4.30pm and was ushered stright into the Main hall and brief on our first activity which is the 'Run To Victory'. I didn't manage to participate in any of the outdoor activities as i had a sprained ankle. I am limping away most of the away, so you see, it was a good thing for me as i have time to take pictures...hehe!!

Sigh!! Sadly, my team ended up at the last placing. Hey, at least we try right? Then, our next assignment is to come up witha a team name and a battle cry!! I hate doing this because the 1st time you do this, it is interesting. The 2nd time, it's easy because we have done it before. But the 3rd time, we have already used all of our best idea and it gets bored and kinda lame now. Anyway, it is a task we have to fulfill. We finally come up with a lame team name 'Believe'. The battle cry? Super lame!!

Believe We Can Win
(Our palm touching our chest)
.
Believe(As in out team name la) is the best!
(pull our hand out and give a thumbs up)
.
Believe is 'Mo Tak theng' (It means that we are incomparable)
(make your palm into a fist and give it a little strong shake)

Percayalah!! (it means 'believe it' in our malay language)
(holding your fist and raise up to the air -Tunku Abdul Rahman like when he shouted MERDEKA!)

Hmppphhhh!!!!
(Bruce Lee like -with your right thumb pushing your nose to a side)

Yup!!! That was our battle cry..super lame right?

After presenting our new team's name and battle cry, we were out straight on a project to design a futuristic car, not only designing it as in drawing it out, but we were given an empty frame and asked to build an actual model of our sketches with the limited resources that was provided to use. We we given fine wires, a plier, colour papers, scissors, double sided tape, celotapes and magicpens. That was all that have been given to us to build a replica of our design.

cracking our head with an empty frame

It looks like a beetle

HHmmm.........(rubbing chin)

Note that it is already after 2 am in the morning!!!

We have given up a little.

Our leader can't help but went to sleep..

Our design turns out...well.... it actually sucks..
Tadah!!!

Because of this project i slept at 4am and miss my breakfast. We failed in our presentation because we were not prepared and not confident with our designs (the other team did really good with the design) Well, we did actually underestimated them, we thought they would face the same problem that we were facing. Turns out the other teams have designers and engineers major. (Seriously, not trying to find excuses)

The next day, we have to do the flying fox and absailing activity. Which i was glad i injured my leg, if i don't, i will surely freak out. It is so scary, and high up there, and people screaming and and and...it's very high!!! Anyway, when that was finally over, we were thrown with another project, no time to sleep the night again...i will talk about the project the next time. Our project is well liked by our Wholesale Banking Head that he had approved and qualify our project to be on trial. IF, the project is a success and implemented in our company, we were promised RM50,000 $$$$$$

We were so excited, because not all team were qualified. We were so lucky that the idea pop up during our short lunch break with three quarter of the team were half asleep. Wish me luck!!!

After the big presentation, and our team celebrated with joy. Exchange contact numbers and emails, we need to meet up again at work to do our project leh...RM50,000$$$$ here we come!!!

Official Team Photo have to be taken!!

I'm back finally!!!

I just came back from yet another series of my company Team Building session at Genting View Resort, Genting. It was really tiring and had very little sleep. All because it was part of the program, which is 'Breaking The Barrier', this program really pushes us to the limit!

Multiple projects, presentation, performance, you name it, all cramp into a 2 and a half day duration. All in all it was a great experience, will share more details later. Now, i am off to bed. It's another long day at work tomorrow!!!!

I surprise myself sometimes

It's a boring day and suddenly i have the urge to unleash that inner chef talent that i have in me. So, i have decided to cook chili beans for dinner served with salad (i'm trying to be healthy here). Went to Giant and get all the ingredients that i need to prepare my chili beans, with the help of my mom (she just won't leave me alone with the cooking, she just have to add in some stuff without me seeing it).

Firstly, diced a whole big onion, a clove of garlic, 1 red paprika, some straw mushrooms (it's optional, but i just love mushrooms) and a few strips of sliced bacon. Toss the bacon into the pan with some olive oil, stir till the bacon turns brown. Next, put in the onion and wait till it turned brown and finally toss in the garlic and in a little bit, throw in the mince beef (it really depends how much meat you want).

Chopped big onions

Slice the Bacon

Minced beef

Red and Yellow Paprikas

Kidney Beans

Chick Peas

Bacon and a generous amount of olive oil

Oh, at the same time you want to boil some water and toss a few tomatoes in to make you own tomato puree. After a few mins, peel off the skin and sliced it. It is super hot, so you would want to do this with running cold water so you won't burn your fingers.

Tomatoes in boiling water

Peel off the skin

Slice it!

After the minced beef is cooked, put in 3 table spoons of chili powder(i like it spicy, you can add on or decrease the amount of chili to your liking).

Minced beef cook and add in the chili powder.

Mixed it well and you can see the meat turns red, add in the paprika and the straw mushrooms. After that, then you can add in the sliced tomatoes and also a can of whole peeled tomatoes that you can get it off the shelf from hypermarket. It's a little sweeter than the ones we boiled ourselves it also have some puree with it so your chili beans won't be too dry.

Canned whole peeled tomatoes

Lastly, put in the chick peas and kidney beans with the rest. Add some chicken stock and shimmer it for half an hour on low fire.

Add in the chick peas and kidney beans

Voila! You have your Chili beans cook to perfection. You can eat it just like that or dipped with french toast if you want. Yummy!!!

It really taste so good.
Muahaha!! I have release the inner chef in me! Not bad eh..my chili beans was a success!!

UOB Bank really sucks!!

OK, this time i am really pissed off!! I am sick of calling customer service every time my statement arrives. They just love to simply charge LATE PAYMENT CHARGES. Please be aware and check your statements every month and make sure that you are paying what you suppose to pay!

Please do not blindly pay whatever that is outstanding. My dad makes this mistake that he never checks. I have this habit of checking each and every transaction that i make with my card. And i always see there is some unnecessary charges debitted to me. I am really sick of UOB right now. I will definitely cancel my card with them after i receive another credit card from another bank. I'm really through with UOB!

Enough said! i don't want to dwell further on what really happen that i called up customer service and give them a piece of my mind. They reluctantly reverse the late payment charges and finance charges for me. This is not the first time i tell you!! This is not the first time! I'll make sure that it is reflected on my next statement and after that i will cancel my credit card!

You suck UOB, you really SUCK!!!

My Mother's Day Celebration

On Mother's Day, my entire family went out for dinner. My Mom really wanted to eat Japanese food, but the queue was so long at Jusco Bukit Tinggi (plus my dad has not much patience and after like waiting for 15 mins he got very angry, can hear it from his tone of voice and facial expression) We quickly change restaurant and ended up in Windmill where there was no queue.

We got a place immediately and ordered the Mother's Day Special. It's a full course meal, a shrimp cocktail and Crab and Sharkfins soup for appetizer, 3 choices of main course - grilled salmon, whole spring chicken with mushroom sauce and Beef and lamb with barbeque sauce, Ice cream and fruit cake for dessert and a chococino for drink. Not too bad eh, only RM 59.90 per course and it comes with a free gift. So, we ordered all 3 meals and share among the 5 of us.
