Hard Rock Rocks!

I should have made this entry like months ago, but it is still not too late to do so! So, Here it is! Me and Samantha had always talked about going somewhere to have a good time, where we can eat and talk and drink and listen to good music. She always bails out because of work and time constraints. When i am free she is not and when she is free i am not! You get what i mean right?

So, we have made a date a month earlier and settled with a date so that no one will back out later. I invited my cousin Nicole and Samantha invited Yoke Ling her high school pal. Samantha was working that saturday, we went over to fetch her and head straight to Hard Rock.

We didn't make any reservation, so we went there early so that we don't need to pay any entry charges (a little info that Canna had shared). We still need to have our MAKAN ma, still have to go early :P We parked at Concorde Hotel and walked over to Hard Rock. Sam and YokeLing went in first..can't hold in their wee wee any longer ..haha!! Following behind them, we were greeted by a friendly waitress, asked for a table for 4. She asked did we make any reservation, i answered no. She looked at us with a frown on her face as she said 'we are fully booked'!! I am like...are you sure? Because i saw lots of empty tables...she looked at me and say kidding.

What a slap in the face! I so wanted to shout at her yelling..'I drive all the way from Klang, which is about an hour drive. We left early so we don't get stuck in the jam so that we can get a seat without the hassle of booking and you have the nerve to play a prank on us? This is not funny!!!' Ok ok, i didn't freak out like that. i knew we could get a place anytime. :P

Top: Samantha and YokeLing
Bottom: Me and my cousin Nicole

We were suppose to go there for their Ramadhan buffet, but my other colleagues that went there told me that it's not worth it and the food is not all that great. The ala-carte menu would be a better bargain. When Sam and YokeLing arrive at our table, Sam told me that the waitress told them that we have left because there are no table available for walk-in customers. What's with Hard Rock Cafe's waiters and waitresses with their pranks ah, haha!!
.
This what we have ordered off the menu, not a bad choice, since none of them want to make a decision on what to eat. I have to make an order for all of us, Sam and YokeLing dare not eat beefs and i love beef. So i want to look for something that we can have a little bit of beef and chicken. Guess what..they have one and it is called the 'Hickory Smoked Bar-B-Que Combo'. It's either the Duo Combo or the Trio Combo.

JUMBO COMBO

DUO COMBO which consist of the 'Hickory Smoked Bar-B-Que Ribs +
Hickory Smoked Bar-B-Que Chicken

Chicken Caeser Salad

The food just looks so good that i have to take pictures although the girls are grumbling because they are too hungry waiting for me to finish clicking...hehe!!

The Drinks are quite affordable too. It's not like Chillis that the drinks are bottomless, you only get to refill once at Hard Rock..anyway, how much can you drink right??!! No, you'll be surprise at how much 4 girls can drink. Initially we order Ice Lemon Tea to go with the food, then our waiter came buy and told us that they have a promotion going on for happy hour. We can order any House Wine or certain selected cocktails before 9.00pm to get another free refill! I'm like really!!??!??! So, we timed ourselves, by 8.45 sharp we order a drink so it will last us till the Live Band commence and we can get another refill!! Good plan right?

Look at the drinks closely, It does looks like Ice Lemon Tea

Look at it again...It's actually our cocktail Long Island

8 Drinks on our table, 2 drinks for each of us..damn 'tham sim' man!!!!
Eh, buy one and get one free...who don't want leh?

Drink la..no need to Paiseh one la..

Nice smile!

Halfway through the night. i notice something with Sam. Like she has some theme going on with her dressing. Then finally i notice, her love for Mickey Mouse of course or perhaps Walt Disney! Her cap, Walt Disney. Her blouse, Mickey Mouse! Her panties could be covered with Mickey's head!!

Taa Daa!!! Ooopppsss!!
Ok, enough about Sam and her undergarments.

After lots of drinks and toilet visits later..time really flies and the Band has arrived. They start at 11.00pm sharp, by that time we have finish drinking both our Ice Lemon Teas and Long Islands. Damn, so we change location and order a jug of beer...Haha...It really makes me go to the toilet more. We really enjoy all the songs played by the Band, i don't really remember the Band's name, but i know there's a short and petite girl and a bald guy-they are from Indonesia by the way. Applaud for the band!!! I've been to a few places where they have live bands, but nothing could compare with this. I'll go there again for the Band!! Up for it Canna?

Want to play a game? Can you spot a hidden Mickey?
Ohh, i see it! I bet you do too!!

Cheers!!

More Mickey!

I know..enough with the Mickeys right. Poser!

I said enough! Drink, just don't get drunk.

A few drinks later....

Started Cam-whoring!

We started hugging each other!

More hugging going on..and flirting too!! Of course la..everone else start posing!

You know, when you had so much fun you started saying things like 'Hey, we should do this more often. Why not we make it a monthly event where we go around different cafes and restaurants and try all the best food. Right! Let's set the next location and we'll meet again next month!' But it never happened! Sigh! We had this conversation too right Canna? After that there would be someone that don't have the time la, no money la, no car la, lazy la. Think la of whatever reasons. This time the 'Beh Tahan Girls' (minus Doris) can't be 'Beh Tahan Girls' because we don't have our camera queen with us! Minus Doris minus the fun lo! Miss you Doris!

Manage to find time to snap a few pics of the KL Tower. The night view looks better. We were at the Concorde roof top parking, we went crazy a while at the roof top before everyone decide to jump in the car and head back. Everyone was sober, no one was drunk. All i can say..not enough alcohol la, i was expecting laughter right from KL till Klang like we were in Bali - of course minus the boost of alcohol la! Now i miss Bali too!! It was a great night out with the girls, we each spent RM90 for the alcohols and scrumptious food. Not bad at all. I would like to do this again, just have to wait and see la.

'Beh Tahan Girls' is back in Town!!

The Bak Kut Teh Shop (Behind Klang Parade)
Remember Doris? The girl that i went to Bali with?? Guess what..SHE IS BACK IN TOWN!!! *gasp* *banging head against the wall* She is now visiting Klang so often that i'm getting sick of her..*HAHA* I told her that it is time for her to shift down to Klang as she is missing us so much..guess what..and she might do that..

She was here around the end of October, she wanted to get her Louis Vuitton bag fix as it is still under warranty. we had our breakfast in Klang, non other than the famous Bak kut Teh. Im telling you, this must be the cleanest, most organize and moden Bak Kut Teh shop out there. We ordered a claypot bak kut teh and a dry bak kut teh. As usual, Samantha will have to prepare the tea for us. Bak Kut Teh tea making is her specialty man....

What a show off - She's actually concentrating not to spill the tea..haha

Samantha showing off her Tea-making skills

The modern Water flask - no more messy charcoal style kettle

Peace! I don't eat pig!

The food is good. Not that oily, the soup is quite clear and you can still taste the herbs in the soup. It's so clean, normally, if you order claypot bak kut teh, they will just serve boiling hot and later it was left to cool. But this shop is different, they provide you a small little stove to keep your meal warm. Nice place to hang out...even they take orders in english...ha!

Claypot still looks new

Yummy!!

Rice presentation also nice - Wah!!

After that we were on our way to KLCC, doing some window shopping and Samantha to have some coffee, but ther's no Coffee Bean at KLCC. So, we decided to go for San Francisco. Sigh..Doris is like so eager to treat us..so we let her la..Got us some coffee and a cheese cake.
How can it be Doris without some cam-whoring??!!??!

Caught in the Act! (cam-whoring again)

Samantha and Doris!

Doris and Me

Samantha and Me

something that i see in KLCC that is so unique

This one is also nice right?

BALI...AGAIN?!??!!!

I CAN'T HELP IT...I STILL LOVE BALI..Who wants to go there again with me? I'm sure Doris is the 1st one that will join me again. Canna, i know..we were talking about Krabi and a local trip..but i still wanna go to Bali..AGAIN. Things to do : SAVE MONEY, SAVE MORE MONEY, BONUS? SIGH!!

Continuation from my previous blog, i have only covered 1 day of my 8 days trip. There's so many things i want to share about my experience in Bali. I love everything about Bali- people, food, beach, sightseeing, shopping and more shopping. Not to forget the beautiful sunsets and scenery.

Day 2
1st destination : Taman Ayun Temple

Besakih Temple is the biggest temple in Bali, well...Taman Ayun is the 2nd largest in Bali, We are not allowed in the compound of the Temple, but we were to get a glimpse of the Temple around it. It was really hot that day tha ti had sunburn, so we didn't spend too much time there. We just want to make sure that we had enough time to visit the other places that we have planned to go on that day.

Entrance of Taman Ayu Temple. As usual la..the 'Beh Tahan Girls' is at it again!!

Inside the compound of Taman Ayun

2nd destination: Lake Beratan Temple and Alas Kedaton

The temple looks like it is build on a small compound or can i say 'island' on a lake. I feel is nothing special...but it is worth the visit since we were on the way to Alas Kedaton ... There's lots and lots of monkey lingering around at Alas Kedaton (Monkey forest ma..sure la lots of monkey la..hehe)..and they are friendly monkeys..not like those at Uluwatu. They snatch your hairpins, sunglasses, glasses, purses and things that they see is shiny. Scary.

Lake Beratan

I'm not sure what is this place called..shit... but i know we took a few good pictures here..hehe
It's definitely at Bedugul area..just don't remember the park's name. Sigh.

Peekaboo!!!

3rd destination: Tanah Lot
Tanah Lot is at its most beautiful is during sunset. Tours available in Tanah Lot is usually held towards the evening. When we went over, it was a low tide so we were able to go near the tanah lot. We went was towards the evening but we didn't stay for the sunset. We took loads of picture..definitely..hehe

The Magnificent Tanah Lot

Saw us at the background? Tanah Lot Sunset, remarkable isn't it?

Day 3

In the morning, we went shopping at Factory outlet store. You can buy surf wear and swimwear mainly brands of Roxy, Billabong and Quicksilver for a very low price. Out Tour guide Made said he will take us to a place not many people been before. We were not really keen with the idea but we just went along with it. He say that it will be a surprise for us. Im so glad that he took us there. We had a blast and we had a near tsunami experience, it doesn;t sound that bad. i didn't realise that my camera is on video mode and i manage to capture the whole event and hoo-haa on my cam. I called it my Ala Blair Witch Project Video AKA Tsunami Video. The place that we went was called water blow at Nusa Dua.

We were soaking wet after that incident...we were still so excited that we plan on the next few days to go back to the water blow again, this time better prepared. Bring some extra clothes lo..hehe..We ran and laugh so much..it is the most exciting place we have been to in Bali..Too bad the file is too large that i can't manage to upload it for you guys to enjoy.

We are all soak wet!!

Water Blow At Nusa Dua..

Later in the afternoon, we requested to our tour guide to bring us to the best local delicacy and must be economical. Guess what, he brought us to eat "Babi Guling". It consist all all the parts and organs of the pork, from it's skin to the meat. Yummy..a must try when you visit Bali.

Babi Guling

GWK

After lunch we went straight to GWK (pronounced as Geweka). it is really nothing much there..mostly huge statues. Our last destination was to Uluwatu where we waitied till evening for the sunset and later to watch the Kecak Dance which is also known as the Fire Dance.

What a sight!!

The very next day we went on a shopping spree down Legian Street. Definitely we went to Hard Rock Cafe, where Doris and Samantha shop till they drop..i mean literally..haha. We also went over to Legian beach, rent 4 lazy chairs and we were sun-tanning. As you can see, the others were not tanned after 3 hours of laying under the sun. For me?? My god..i look like charcoal..my face..black black..and i have tanned line on my chest, my arms and my legs..ugly man...

To pamper ourselves more...we had our nails painted..only RM10 for both the hands and legs and also we had our hair braided..hehehe...how can we go the a beach area without being a hippie ourselves eh...We did pamper ourselves to the max..Spa and cigarrettes, Beer, Chips and of course Cup noodles..hehe..

We did had loads of fun and good memories..i wish i could go back to visit Bali in the near future..i miss having fun with Samantha, Doris and my cousin..Our next destination...Siam Reap Cambodia...here we come!!!!
