Cameron Trip

I have been a few road trips around Malaysia for this year. So that's why i didn't manage to go for an overseas trip this year. Cash out all my money on these road trips. What to do!! Obligation la, also spend family time together on a trip is also a great way to bond right? I still have my Malacca Road Trip, Penang Road Trip and my Weekend getaway in Genting entry pending. Will find time for that, for now, it is picture time for my short trip to Cameron Highlands! Yea, went to both Highlands already, To Fraser's hill then my Highland Trip will be complete! Haha!!

Went up to Cameron with my parents. Yea, I'm a daddy's girl. Most of my road trips are with my parents. This time i was forced to go down with them, because they don't want me to be at home alone. Yeah, excuses right. They know i will bring some guys home and have slumber party la.

This is the Annual Dinner my Dad's company organize. They even have a night stay at the Dahlia Apartments. It's a big family room where we get to share with another family. We reached there a bit late, so we only manage to get the small room for the 3 of us. I end up sleeping at the couch at night, poor me. But nothing to complain because it is given all for free.

The hall that becomes my bedroom

The Kitchen

The room

View outside the room, but it is inside of the apartment premise

Little Garden

Just love the staircase

Saw that bridge???

Can't help myself, have to take this pic at the elevator.

After reaching putting our luggage, we head straight off to the restaurant for dinner.

The restaurant!

After a few minutes, Jam packed!

We need to take a short 3 minutes walk to the actual restaurant. It is located behind a nursery, nice flowers blooming along the way.

White Hibiscus

Orange Hibiscus

Not sure what flower but still

Finally we reached the restaurant, very flora and fauna kind of feeling. Very peaceful and serene.

The stone bridge crossing over to the other side of the restaurant

Nice right? The man made river separate the restaurant into 2 sections.

The whole event was so so only for me. The food sucks, all the food that they serve are vegetables. Konon la we are at Cameron, the greens there are fresh and cheap. I only remember one marmite chicken and the 6 of the remainder dishes were various vegetables, yucks!

The next day, i forced my dad to take me to the strawberry farm. There are so many of those farms, we went to the nearest one. My dad la, not wanting to explore a little, hehe.

Yea, healthy indeed.

I wanted to go to those self picking strawberry farm. Guess it would be expensive, do i didn't explore la. Strawberry picking alone would be very lonely le.

Mom excited, hehe.

Beautiful white flowers

Oh, a ripe strawberry ready to be picked!

This nursery is not that big as i expected. I've seen bigger ones on the way down

Definitely you'll find cactus at any nursery in Cameron

Insect eating plant, hehe

Love purple flowers

My mom like this one

Strawberry nursery from the top view

More purple flowers

I saw this weird looking plant and was curious

It actually looks good le, very nice

Need i say anymore!

Inside the nursery there's a small store that sells little souvenirs and candies

Typical strawberry Lollipops

Key chains!

Specially love these strawberry key chains

Don't know what is these for. still looks nice

These are the real thing la!! Red and juicy and freshly picked strawberries!

Another strawberry shop on the way down that i just have to stop and take pictures.

Nice giant strawberries

Strawberry Arches

Sell anything strawberry. Tea, jams, candies, cookies, jams, you name it.

What is going to Cameron without going to the tea plantation right?
Just took some pictures while passing through only.

It was exceptionally cold that day as it rained in the morning.

Love the mist

Hilltop, overlooking the strawberry farm

Winding road on our way down from Cameron. Would love to go visit Cameron again, but those winding road makes me think twice. All and all it was a great trip. Love all those picture i took, especially those taken at the Strawberry Farm. Hope you like the pictures too.

Team Building Batch 4 -The Sequel

Finally i get to squeeze some time to update on my so-called 'company trip' to Genting View Resort'!! Our team buildings are never ever relaxing, after working for more than 10 hours at work, they still put our brains plus body to work. I only get to sleep like 4 to 5 hours during my 2 and a half days there, i tell you..i even have to skip breakfast because i rather sleep than to wake up an hour earlier to have breakfast...seriously.

I manage to take a few pictures of the room, not too bad, better condition than the 1st 2 team building places that we have been. Our first team building was at Lembah Azwen Resort at Hulu Langat (worst place i have been to) The 2nd one was not bad, it was held at D'Ark, Janda Baik, Pahang. The place was quite cooling and we got to share a room with 4 other people (the toilet is really scary, i was so afraid to bath alone. Dare not even to go pee during midnight leh, i tahan until next morning when everyone is awake...i tell you!!!)

This time, the 3rd time was the best so far. But, there is always a catch. The first 2 times is mostly classrooms activities and only a few outdoor activities. We got to get enough sleep at a very bad condition and uncomfortable beds. This time!!! We have comfy beds and TV and everything to enjoy, but we can't find time to enjoy it because we are loaded with projects and presentations that we have to crack our heads the whole night before we can even get to sleep!! Damn Scope!! Damn my company!!! (I really hope none of my superior is reading this :P~)

Anyway, here are the pictures taken before being pulverized by me and my team members.

The beds for me and Kak Wes!

Clean toilet!

The Balcony

The Hall

Our neighbours

The scenery from outside the balcony is fantastic, anyhow, it is not as cold as i have expected it to be. It was raining most of the time but still no cool breeze, kinda disappointed with that, really don't even need a jacket or long sleeves.

We reached Genting View Resort at 4.30pm and was ushered stright into the Main hall and brief on our first activity which is the 'Run To Victory'. I didn't manage to participate in any of the outdoor activities as i had a sprained ankle. I am limping away most of the away, so you see, it was a good thing for me as i have time to take pictures...hehe!!

Sigh!! Sadly, my team ended up at the last placing. Hey, at least we try right? Then, our next assignment is to come up witha a team name and a battle cry!! I hate doing this because the 1st time you do this, it is interesting. The 2nd time, it's easy because we have done it before. But the 3rd time, we have already used all of our best idea and it gets bored and kinda lame now. Anyway, it is a task we have to fulfill. We finally come up with a lame team name 'Believe'. The battle cry? Super lame!!

Believe We Can Win
(Our palm touching our chest)
.
Believe(As in out team name la) is the best!
(pull our hand out and give a thumbs up)
.
Believe is 'Mo Tak theng' (It means that we are incomparable)
(make your palm into a fist and give it a little strong shake)

Percayalah!! (it means 'believe it' in our malay language)
(holding your fist and raise up to the air -Tunku Abdul Rahman like when he shouted MERDEKA!)

Hmppphhhh!!!!
(Bruce Lee like -with your right thumb pushing your nose to a side)

Yup!!! That was our battle cry..super lame right?

After presenting our new team's name and battle cry, we were out straight on a project to design a futuristic car, not only designing it as in drawing it out, but we were given an empty frame and asked to build an actual model of our sketches with the limited resources that was provided to use. We we given fine wires, a plier, colour papers, scissors, double sided tape, celotapes and magicpens. That was all that have been given to us to build a replica of our design.

cracking our head with an empty frame

It looks like a beetle

HHmmm.........(rubbing chin)

Note that it is already after 2 am in the morning!!!

We have given up a little.

Our leader can't help but went to sleep..

Our design turns out...well.... it actually sucks..
Tadah!!!

Because of this project i slept at 4am and miss my breakfast. We failed in our presentation because we were not prepared and not confident with our designs (the other team did really good with the design) Well, we did actually underestimated them, we thought they would face the same problem that we were facing. Turns out the other teams have designers and engineers major. (Seriously, not trying to find excuses)

The next day, we have to do the flying fox and absailing activity. Which i was glad i injured my leg, if i don't, i will surely freak out. It is so scary, and high up there, and people screaming and and and...it's very high!!! Anyway, when that was finally over, we were thrown with another project, no time to sleep the night again...i will talk about the project the next time. Our project is well liked by our Wholesale Banking Head that he had approved and qualify our project to be on trial. IF, the project is a success and implemented in our company, we were promised RM50,000 $$$$$$

We were so excited, because not all team were qualified. We were so lucky that the idea pop up during our short lunch break with three quarter of the team were half asleep. Wish me luck!!!

After the big presentation, and our team celebrated with joy. Exchange contact numbers and emails, we need to meet up again at work to do our project leh...RM50,000$$$$ here we come!!!

Official Team Photo have to be taken!!
